Tara Hack is a 23 year old singer/songwriter and native New Yorker. She is currently being featured in a new book, "The Noise Beneath the Apple," which highlights her career as a musician in New York City. Tara regularly performs in Manhattan's Penn Station for thousands of commuters daily. She is also a musician in the South Street Seaport in NYC, performing for tourists from around the world. Through her appearances she has been approached by multiple record labels including; Warner Brothers, Def Jam, and Capitol Records.
Tara is currently working in the studio on a full CD to be released this year. Her music continues to receive international airplay on WOR in NYC, Brooklands Radio in the UK, as well as Radio Northern Beaches and 2GB Radio in Australia. The music Tara writes is always based on meaningful world issues, events, and experiences. Tara's song, "Saya Tidak Bersalah" (I'm not Guilty), is a song about an Australian Woman wrongfully imprisoned in Indonesia. Her song fueled an international human rights campaign and sent her to the Conference on World Affairs as a panelist and performer. Her new single, "She Falls Down," aims to raise awareness to the presence and severity of domestic violence in society.
